Quicken for mac 2017 vs windows

Although I'm not crazy about the subscription, one positive is that it allows you to run both the Windows and Mac versions. I'm wondering if anyone else has switched? Thoughts?Īfter buying Quicken Mac 2016 a couple years ago and promptly returning it, I recently took the plunge on Quicken Mac 2018. Considering finances is a data-entry-heavy activity, this is a terrible design. The split window is difficult to navigate. How a user actually enter transactions is clunky.There's no scheduled transactions window? I don't understand this.How is this possible!? I do not want them being automatically folded in my register. The downloaded transactions don't pop up for 'approval'.There no way to exclude transfers in reports which makes them completely unusable for me.A couple of the biggest ones causing me problems right now are the following: Also, I now have my finances on my main computer and this makes me SO happy.Ĭons: it's still missing some really core features. The graphs and forecasting take only seconds (if even) to generate.

It makes the Windows version feel so clunky. This past weekend, I bit the bullet and bought the Quicken for Mac version.

I currently use a Mac and have an entirely separate Windows computer only for Quicken. Problem is, the only usable version of Quicken is the Windows version. I have been a Quicken user for more than 20 years now.
